连词and, but 与 because
连词 and
意为“和, 并且; 然后; 那么”, 表示并列关系、顺承关系或条件和结果的关系。
英语中，在词和词、短语和短语、句子和句子之间起连接作用的词叫连词。
连词 but
意为“但是”, 表示转折关系, 连接意义相反或相对的词或句子。
The house is small but nice.
这个房子很小但是很漂亮。
连接单词
The car is very old, but it runs very fast.
这辆小汽车很旧了，但是它跑得很快。
连接句子
连词 because
意为“因为”, 引导原因状语从句, 表示原因。
—Why do you want to go there 你为什么想去那里
—Because it's an interesting place. 因为那是个有趣的地方。
because 引导的原因状语从句可用来回答 why 开头的疑问句。
because引导的原因状语从句可在主句前也可在主句后，在主句前时，要用逗号与主句隔开。
Because this is our first lesson, I don't know your names.
= I don't know your names because this is our first lesson.
因为这是我们的第一节课, 所以我不知道你们的名字。
because 和 so(所以)不能同时用在一个句子里，只能用其中一个。
I don't know the way to your home because I'm new here.
我不知道去你家的路，因为我是新来的。
= I'm new here, so I don't know the way to your home.
我是新来的，所以我不知道去你家的路。
