what time与when都可以用来提问时间，表示“什么时候”，其不同点为:
what time 其问句的回答只能是具体的时刻。
when 其问句的回答可以是具体的时刻，也可以是年份、月份、日期等更笼统的时间。

what time 及 when引导的特殊疑问句
句式结构：What time/When + do/does +主语+动词原形+其他？
What time/When + be动词+主语+其他？
回答what time或when引导的问句，可以用in, on或at等组成的表示时间的介词短语。
询问当前的时间，即几点几分时，只能用what time，不能用when。
例如：
—What time is it now？现在几点了？
—It's 8:15. 8点15分。
由提问时间的特殊疑问句的答语
提问时间的问句在回答时需要用到at /in /on /before /after等与时间有关的介词
口诀：
in年in月in季节in上午/下午/晚上
at具体的某一时刻at正午/傍晚
on接具体某一天
注意：就算介词后是morning这样的时间名词，只要是具体某一天的上午，介词要用on
1.整点：“整点数+o'clock”或“整点数”
2.非整点
1)所有的时间都可以用“小时 + 分钟”直接读。(先读整点数，再读分钟数，都用基数词来读。当分钟数小于10时，遇到数字0，发字母o的音/ /。)
2)如果所表述的时间在半小时之内，可以用“分钟 + past + 小时”，15分钟一般用a quarter来表示；30分钟一般用half来表示。
3)如果所表述的时间在半小时之外，可以用“相差的分钟 + to + 下一小时”
关于时间的表达
由特殊疑问词构成的特殊疑问句
特殊疑问句是在一般疑问句基础上，将需要提问的部分用特殊疑问词或特殊疑问词组代替，再将特殊疑问词或词组提前放在句首。现阶段常见的特殊疑问词或词组有以下几种：

频率副词在句中的用法：
频度副词表示某一动作或状态出现的频率，即在一定时间内某一动作或状态重复出现的次数。频度副词通常用于一般现在时。（如：always, usually, often,never 等）
频度副词一般位于be动词、助动词或情态动词之后，实义动词之前。有时为了强调，频度副词也可位于句首。
不同人称作主语时动词的形式变化
英语中，名词或代词有三种人称，各个人称又包含单数和复数两种形式。其中，当三人称单数名词或代词充当句子的主语时，谓语动词要用“三单形式”。
一般情况下，直接+s；如：get dressed → gets dressed
若动词本身以s, x, sh, ch结尾，直接+es；如：teach English → teaches English, focus → focuses
若动词以辅音字母+y结尾，要改y为i加es；如：study → studies, satisfy → satisfies
还有一些动词的形式属于不规则变化，如：have → has, do → does, go → goes, be → is
