They started a journey called a 54-km hike to Renshanhe Martyr Cemetery. It is the largest one in the region for people to remember and honor those fallen heroes.

Along the way, students held the red flags high and sang red songs, as they climbed mountains hand in hand. The heroic deeds telling/told by the teachers inspired everyone to keep moving. After hiking for hours, the tired/tiring students reached the martyr cemetery surrounded/surrounding with green pines. They were greeted by rows of graves with the fading/faded names. During the ceremony, the students wiped the tombs and laid small white flowers to the revolutionary martyrs.
