Pre-listening
可数名词能独立成为个体，可直接用数字计数，有单数和复数两种形式，复数形式通常需变化（如加 - s/-es）。
book（books）、apple（apples）、room（rooms）、hamburger（hamburgers）、egg（eggs）。
不可数名词无法拆分为独立个体，不能直接用数字计数的名词，多表示概念、状态、品质、感情或物质材料，只有单数形式，无复数变化；表示数量时需搭配量词（如 a cup of、some）。
rice（米饭）、milk（牛奶）、water（水）、bread（面包）、love（爱）、happiness（快乐）。

1. It has little rain here, so it’s very dry. 这儿几乎不下雨，所以非常干燥。
little，形容词，意为 “几乎没有”，修饰不可数名词，表示否定含义。
There is little sugar in the bottle. 瓶子里几乎没有糖了。

词汇 含义及用法 例句
little 一点儿；几乎没有，修饰不可数名词，表示否定意义 There is little water in the bottle.
瓶子里几乎没有水了。
a little 有一点儿，修饰不可数名词，表示肯定意义 Please add a little sugar to the coffee.

few 不多；很少，修饰可数名词，表示否定意义 Few students like such a difficult game.

辨析：home, family 和 house
单词 含义及用法
home 意为 “家”，指出生或居住的地方的内部空间，有强烈的感彩。 There's no place like home. 金窝银窝不如自己的狗窝。
family 意为 “家人；家庭”，若意为 “家人”，则包含多个个体，是集合名词，通常表示复数意义；若意为 “家庭”，则视为一个整体，表示单数意义。 A happy family is what everyone desires. 一个幸福的家庭是每个人都渴望的。
house 意为 “房子；住宅”，指所居住的建筑物本身。 He bought a new house in the suburbs. 他在郊区买了一套新房。

kind作可数名词，意为 “种类；类别”，常见用法：many kinds of 许多种类的all/different kinds of 各种各样的 / 不同种类的 a kind of 一种；一类
Panda is a kind of rare animal. 熊猫是一种珍稀动物。
kind作形容词，意为 “好心的；善良的；和蔼的；亲切的”，常见用法：
①be kind to 意为 “对…… 很友好”，同义短语为：be friendly to; be good to
