Language points
essay和 novel
essay(散文/论文) ; novel(小说)
Language points
Now I know why you’re so good at writing
核心句式:now I know why…(现在我明白为什么…… 了)
结构:now(时间状语)+ 主句(I know)+ 宾语从句(why you’re so good at writing)
Now I know why she always arrives early.(现在我明白她为什么总早到了)
Language points
I’m going to keep on writing stories.
keep on doing sth.(持续 / 坚持做某事)
keep on + 动名词(doing),介词 on 后必须接动词 - ing 形式。
She kept on working even though she was tired.(尽管累,她还是坚持工作)
Language points
Not everyone knows what they want to be.
1. 核心主语:Not everyone(并非每个人)
完全否定对应:No one(没人),注意语义区别(Not everyone knows = 有人知道,有人不知道;No one knows = 没人知道)。
例句:Not everything he said is true.(他说的并非全是真的)
Language points
Not everyone knows what they want to be.
2. 宾语从句:what they want to be(他们想成为什么样的人)
结构:主句(Not everyone knows)+ 宾语从句(what they want to be),从句需用陈述句语序。
Language points
Not everyone knows what they want to be.
Everyone has their own dreams.(每个人都有自己的梦想,用 their 替代 his/her,更显通用)
