概念：过去某个时刻或者某个时间段正在发生的动作

过去进行时的提示词
①过去某一时刻
at that time
at that moment
at ＋时刻＋过去时间

过去进行时的基本结构
①肯定句
S ＋ was/were ＋ 现在分词 ＋时间状语
He was playing basketball at that time.
②否定句
S ＋ was/were ＋ 现在分词＋时间状语
He wasn’t playing basketball at that time.
③一般疑问句
Was/Were ＋ S ＋ 现在分词＋ 时间状语
肯定回答： Yes, S ＋ was/were
否定回答： No, S ＋ was/were not.
Was he playing basketball at 8:00 pm yesterday
Yes, he was.
No, he wasn’t.
特殊疑问句：疑问词 +was / were + 主语 + 现在分词（+时间状语）

过去进行时做题技巧
一找时标
二定时态
三变动词
进行时好记，be＋动词ing， ing有规律，直去双改心中记
直接＋ 一般动词直接＋ ing 如：cook cooking
去e＋ing， 哑e结尾去e＋ing. 如 dance dancing
双写＋ing 词尾重读闭音节，双写再加ing 如：sit sitting
改写＋ing 遇到ie在词尾，变ie为 y再加ing 如：lie lying
