在英语中用从句来表示一件事情或行为发生的时间，那么这个从句叫作时间状语从句。时间状语从句在句子中所作的成分是时间状语。时间状语从句常用when, while, before, after, as soon as, since, until等连词引导。
1. when的用法
“当……的时侯”，既可以表示在某一时间点发生的事，又可以表示在某一时间段发生的事。主句与从句描述的动作或事情可以同时发生。
I loved math when I was at school.
我在学校时喜欢数学。
He looked aside when I spoke to him.
我对他说话的时候，他向旁边看。
