The designer of the Apple Computer, Steve Jobs, was not quite successful in his early years. He was not among the best students at school, and from time to time he got into trouble with either his schoolmates or his teachers. But he was full of new ideas, which few people saw the value of. Things remained the same when he went up to college and he dropped out halfway.
Steve Jobs worked first as a video game designer at Atari. He worked there for only a few months and then he set out to tour India. He hoped that the trip would give him more ideas and give him a change in life for the better.
After he returned from India, he began to live on a farm in California. And then, in 1975, Steve Jobs set about making a new type of computer. Along with his friend Stephen Wozniak, he designed the Apple Computer in his bedroom and built it in his garage (车库). He gave the name “Apple” because it reminded him of a happy summer he once spent on an orchard (果园) in Oregon.

Many teenagers spend their lives studying, playing video games and hanging out with friends—but not Henry Patterson, a teenage entrepreneur.
The young boy from England, started his business journey at the age of 9 when he set up his children’s brand Not Before Tea. The lifestyle brand for young people is based on a storybook called The Adventures of Sherb and Pip, which is about a mouse and an owl who run a sweets shop. Patterson began by selling sweets, but he soon brought all the characters in the book to life through products such as bags and soft toys. Today, the products are sold internationally.
In fact, Patterson’s early school years were difficult, which he often described as “fire and ice”. He didn’t agree to what his classmates were like because he saw the world differently and was hardly invited to parties. He also had a stammer (口吃), which made him feel even lonelier. But these things didn’t hold him back. To cheer himself up, Patterson gradually lost himself in designing different animals and writing interesting stories about them. His characters started to become popular. To get over his stammer, he tried to articulate (清晰表达) himself and even developed a love for public speaking.
At 15, Patterson wrote a business book called Young and Mighty, which describes his search for success and happiness. He believes that passion (激情) is what drives people to achieve amazing things. “If you don’t have a passion for what you do and love what you do, then you won’t succeed,” he said.

Every time I learn something new and interesting, I’d like to share it with my friends. Being a teacher, I can share all these things with my students and lead them to be better persons.
For my dream job, I must study hard. I know success doesn’t come easy, so I need to spare no effort to make my dream come true.
