Hoh Xil is a special place in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. Just like its meaning “beautiful girl” in Mongolian, Hoh Xil is famous for its amazing natural beauty and its unique ecological importance. It entered the World Heritage List in 2017.

Hello, Dorji! Can you tell us something about this beautiful place
Hi, Li Dan. I work at the Hoh Xil Protection Station. I think Hoh Xil is truly a heaven for wild animals. There are more than 230 different kinds of animals, such as brown bears, wolves, and eagles. The most famous one is the Tibetan antelope. Between May and August every year, thousands of these lovely creatures travel through here. It is amazing. I really love this place.

I’m Tshegyal. I work at the Hoh Xil Protection Station. ___________ We go around and guard the highland over 10 times every year. ___________ Hoh Xil is beautiful, but there are many unexpected difficulties. Our cars easily get stuck in the wetlands.
____________ Along the Qinghai-Xizang Railway, we always see the Tibetan antelopes playing and moving around.Our duty is to protect them_________.There are many young people like me here in Hoh Xil. Everyone is a hero.
