1.Work in pairs. Choose a disaster and prepare a list of safety instructions. The expressions below may help you.
Talking
Prepare a basic disaster supplies kit and find a safe place.
Drop down immediately.
Take cover(躲避)under a desk, table and hold on.
Cover your head and neck with your hands. Stay away from windows, or furniture（家具） that can fall on you.
If you are outdoors, find a clear spot（地方） away from trees, buildings, and power lines; drop to the ground and cover head and neck.
Earthquake
Samples:
Know where you can take shelter in the house, for example, bathroom, storage rooms, get away from the windows.
Store protective coverings, like sleeping bags, thick blankets, etc.
Make sure the safety supplies are handy（手边的）.
Turn on TV and radio, stay alert（警惕的） for warnings.
If you are outdoors, run into shopping center, hospital, stadiums, or any safe and nearby shelter area.
Tornado/Hurricane
If you hear tsunami warning, evacuate at once.
Go as high and as far as you can – at least to a spot (地方) 30 meters above sea level or 2 miles away.
Take your emergency kit.
Drop, cover, and hold on to (紧紧抓住) protect yourself from the possible earthquake.
Avoid downed (掉落的) power lines and stay away from buildings and bridges from which heavy objects (物体) might fall during an aftershock.

If you find yourself in danger from a flood, first of all, you should stay calm. Find something, such as a piece of wood or a big basin, to help you float on the surface of the water. If possible, find a higher place to stay.
For emergency supplies, I advise always having on hand a flashlight, a whistle, enough water and food.
