Unit 3 Gerund(V-ing)
定义：
动词的--ing形式在起名词的作用时，被称为动名词。在句中可以作主语、宾语或表语。
1.I quit playing video games recently and now do sports regularly.
最近我停止玩游戏了，现在开始有规律地做运动了。
2.Getting regular exercise can help you stay focused when studying.
有规律的锻炼能帮助你学习时注意力集中。

Unit 3 Gerund(V-ing)
用法：
1. 作主语时，可以直接放在句首。谓语动词常常用单数，但表示多于一个的概念时，谓语动词则用复数。
eg.
Typing is my favorite job.
打字是我喜欢的工作。
Dancing and skating are my hobbies.
跳舞和滑冰是我的业余爱好。

用法：
2. 动词-ing短语作主语时，有时用it作形式主语，常用于It is no good/use+动词-ing结构中。
eg.
It is no use complaining.
抱怨是没有用的。

3. 动词－ing形式作宾语
eg.
We must avoid making the same mistakes again.
我们必须避免再次出现同样的错误。
We should protect the rivers and lakes from being polluted.
我们应该保护河流湖泊不被污染。

用法：
动词的ing形式作宾语
常跟动词ing形式作宾语的动词及短语：mind, enjoy, avoid, miss, practice, advise, suggest, consider，keep，allow，risk(冒险)，finish，imagine(想象)，quit(放弃)，give up，feel like，can’t help，be busy，have difficulty(in) doing，be worth.

以下短语中to都是介词，其后跟动词-ing

4. 动词－ing 形式作表语 (作表语不表示正在进行)
eg.
My favorite sport is playing football.
我最喜欢的运动是踢足球。
The most important thing is keeping healthy.
