Unit 1 Agreement I
形容词副词的比较级和最高级
两者之间的比较用比较级，三者及三者以上的比较用最高级。前者表示“比较……”，后者表示“最……”。
Over the years, it has become much easier to quickly travel long distances.
多年来，快速长途旅行变得容易多了。
If you’re planning to travel within China, high-speed trains might be the best choice.
如果你打算在中国境内旅行，高铁可能是最好的选择。

一般是在词尾加-er 或-est；

原级 比较级 最高级 含义
short shorter shortest 矮的；短的
long longer longest 长的
small smaller smallest 小的
fast faster fastest 快的/地
hard harder hardest 努力的/地

以不发音的字母e 结尾的单词，在词尾只加-r 或-st；
eg.
原级 比较级 最高级 含义
nice nicer nicest 友好的
large larger largest 大的

wide wider widest 宽的

以重读闭音节结尾，且末尾只有一个辅音字母的词，双写这个辅音字母，再加-er 或-est；
eg.

hot hotter hottest 热的
slim slimmer slimmest 苗条的

以“辅音+y”结尾的词需变y 为i，再加-er 或-est；
eg.
原级 比较级 最高级 含义

lazy lazier laziest 懒惰的
funny funnier funniest 有趣的
ugly uglier ugliest 丑的

部分双音节和多音节形容词和副词的比较级和最高级是在原级前加more 和most；还有一些不规则变化。
eg.

helpful more helpful most helpful 乐于助人的

不规则变化
eg.
原级 比较级 最高级 含义
good/well better best 好/地的
bad/ill worse worst 坏/病的
many/much more most 多的
few/little less least 少许的/地
far farther farthest (距离)远的/地
further furthest (程度)深的
Unit 1 Agreement I
比较级后面通常和than 连用，表示两者相比。比较级前可加much，a lot，far 等表示程度的状语。
最高级前一般带定冠词the。
eg.
Flying is a lot quicker than going by train.坐飞机比坐火车快多了。
You look much happier today.你今天看起来开心多了。
This is the oldest theatre in London.这是伦敦最古老的剧院。
What is the longest river in China 中国最长的河是哪条？
eg.
用法：
