- "Readucing unnecessary use"：是用动名词短语作句子的主语，谓语动词要用单数形式。
- e.g.
Eating junk food is bad for your health. 吃垃圾食品对你的健康有害。
句子1: Readucing unnecessary use is a way to protect the environment.
减少不必要的消耗是保护环境的一种方式。
Language Focus 语言重点
- "live a /an ...life"：意为“过着······的生活”，同义词是lead a/an ...life。类似短语还有：dream a/an ...dream, 意为“做了一个······的梦”等。
- "not only...but also..."：意为不但······而且······。
e.g. She can not only sing but also dance.她不但会唱歌而且会跳舞。
注意：当not only ...but also 连接两个并列成分作主语时，谓语动 词的形式要与较近的主语保持一致，即遵循“就近原则”。
句子2: From environmentally friendly habits and live a happy and healthy life, not only for ourselves, but also for the earth.
让我们养成环保的好习惯，过快乐健康的生活, 不只为了我们自己，也为了整个地球。

-"can be converted"：表示被转变成，情态动词动can的被动语态。
情态动词的被动语态由情态动词+be+动词的过去分词构成。如：
