We have a lot of respectable people around us. They may be our teachers, parents or one of our elders. As for me, my mother is the person I respect most.
My mother is an English teacher and has been teaching for 30 years . She loves her work and students very much. She often tells me that everyone should make contributions to our country, so she helps her students become responsible persons. Because of her patience and creative teaching methods, she has achieved a lot in her work and been respected by many students . Although she is busy every day, she always spares time to accompany me. Especially, when I come across difficulties in my study, she encourages me to overcome them bravely.
This is my mother, a responsible teacher as well as a respectable mother, and I will love her forever.

The person I admire most is Yuan Longping. Born in Beijing in 1930 , Yuan Longping , who is one of the greatest scientists, showed a passion for researching rice.
After graduating from Southwest Agricultural College, he spent most of his time on agricultural teaching and research. Despite many difficulties, he managed to overcome them. With strong will and great determination, he achieved the great success in breeding hybrid rice, which improved the rice production and helped rid the world of hunger. So he is known as the father of hybrid rice.

玛丽·居里（Marie Curie)，也被称为居里夫人（Madame Curie），在她年轻的时候就表现出了对物理的极大兴趣(showed great interest in)。
她于1867年出生于波兰(Poland)的一个知识分子家庭(an intellectual family)。当时波兰不允许(admit to)女子上大学，她去法国(France)深造并获得物理学位(degree)。居里夫人有坚强的意志(strong will)和巨大的决心。因此，她在发现镭(radium)方面取得了巨大的成功，这也使她获得了诺贝尔奖(the Nobel Prize)。
居里夫人的成就(achievements)对科学产生了深远影响(make a great impact on)，这激励一代代去探索。她也为我们树立了榜样(set an example)。
Marie Curie, also known as Madame Curie, showed great interest in physics when she was young.
She was born in an intellectual family in Poland in1867. Not admitted to a university in Poland as a woman at that time, she went to France for further studies and received a degree in physics.She had a strong will and great determination. Therefore, she achieved great success in discovering radium, which enabled her to win the Nobel Prize.
Her achievements made a great impact on science, inspiring generations to explore. And Curie set an example for us.
