Learning objectives
In this lesson, we will be able to:
Understand and use vocabulary related to volunteering, such as “volunteer”“conservation”“field trips”“gift shop”, etc. through reading the volunteering advertisement.
Communicate effectively with their partners in discussing volunteer-related questions, such as what volunteer activities they want to organize, what volunteers need to do in those activities, and why they want to organize them.
Enhance their awareness of environmental protection and wildlife conservation through learning about the volunteer work in the Canada Fish & Wildlife Service.

The lakes and rivers in the Whitemud Creek area support a healthy population of fish. Fishing was a traditional food source in this area. Today people fish here as a hobby.
fielding phone calls, and cleaning (including centre restrooms). Volunteers will also help our staff lead tours and field trips, care for live animals, operate the gift shop, as well as plan and prepare special events, workshops, and other programs.

help out“帮助摆脱（困境）；协助；帮忙” ，可以单独使用，也可在其后接宾语，表示帮助做某事或帮助某人。
Point
用法：
当宾语是名词时，可放在 help out 后面或两词中间；当宾语是代词时，只能放在 help 和 out 中间。
例句：
Can you help out with the cleaning （你能帮忙做清洁吗？）

（当我遇到麻烦时，我的朋友总是帮我摆脱困境。）

be seeking是 seek 的进行时形式，seek意为 “寻找；寻求；谋求”。
Point
讲解：
be动词要根据主语的人称和数进行变化，如 am/is/are seeking，后面可接名词、代词等作宾语。
例句：
They are seeking a solution to the problem.
（他们正在寻找这个问题的解决办法。）

help with表示 “在…… 方面帮助；协助做某事” ，强调在某个具体的事情或活动上给予帮助。
Point
用法：
with 是介词，后面接名词、代词或动名词形式。

（志愿者们将协助这些特殊活动。）

field tirps“实地考察；野外旅行”，通常用于教育或研究等场景，让人们到实际的场所去获取知识或经验。

例句：
Field trips are a great way for students to learn outside the classroom.（实地考察是学生们在课堂外学习的好方法。）
Our science teacher often organises field trips to the nature reserve.
（我们的科学老师经常组织去自然保护区的野外旅行。）

care for“照顾；照料” ,可以与look after，take care of进行同义句转换。
Point
用法：
后接名词、代词或动名词作宾语。
例句：
