Sending people to other planets or even beyond the solar system is not an easy goal____________ (achieve). One of the problems is that the trip would take a very long time. For example, __________ (use) current technology, it would take over two years ________ (get) to the closest planet, Mars, and back. Although light is the fastest thing_________ (know)in the universe, it could take more than four years to reach the nearest star system. Will scientists figure out a way ___________ (store) sufficient food and water for the long journey No one knows the answers yet. However, space scientists never give up. They are experimenting with growing crops in space so as __________ (help) astronauts get enough food no longer journeys through space.

All in all , it would like to live on Mars beacuse ; I won’t leave earth...
adapt to; earth culture...
Some humans want to immigrate to Mars to escape the pollution and population growth on Earth. But in my opinion, living on Mars will not happen in the future, because Earth still have a lot undeveloped space for us to use .
There are many disadvantages of living on Mars. Firstly, we would need a lot of energy and thousands of years to terraform Mars. And that resource and time would be much easier to be used on Earth to make a better home. In addition, living on Mars for good could cause mental health problems. It is not only because of the inadaptation to the environment of Marz, but also the missing of the earth culture and various human relationships.
All in all,I would not like to live on Mars because I have already adapted to the environment and culture on earth. hoping that our humans will focus on the protection of earth

Countries around the globe are spending billions of dollars and lots of time on various space missions, whether to Mars or other planets much further away. Some people argue that we should stop wasting time and money exploring space. Instead, we should feed the world’s poor and find immediate solutions to other problems, such as pollution and fatal diseases. However, others feel this is a shallow view which fails to realize how exploring space helps us.
练习1 画出关于太空探索(space exploration) 的不同观点
第一段:介绍主题+不同的观点
Firstly, exploring space has already made a difference in the fight against world hunger.
Secondly, space exploration has already promoted technological improvements that benefit us all.
Finally, sending astronauts into space has helped people to think about the world's problems and even to find ways to solve them.
练习2 画出3个主题句(总结作者对space exploration的论点)
Firstly, exploring space has already made a difference in the fight against world hunger. It has directly resulted in the many satellites that now orbit Earth. A number of the satellites record data on land and weather patterns. Then the data is transmitted to scientists on Earth. After careful analysis, the scientists can provide useful recommendations and advice for farmers. As a result, space-b ccccased science has helped farming in its efforts to grow enough food to feed Earth’s increasing population.

举例(By giving examples)
Secondly, space exploration has already promoted technological improvements that benefit us all. High-end products around the world are made to a higher standard now because of advanced technology which was first created to meet the requirements for space exploration. For example, space technologies have helped the research and development of different types of new material. They have also helped companies make better heart monitors and other machines that doctors regularly use. Today, space technologies are widely used in all kinds of industries, and everyday products such as GPS, memory foam(乳胶泡沫) pillows, and smartphone cameras are changing our lives.

举例(By giving examples)
Finally, sending astronauts into space has helped people to think about the world's problems and even to find ways to solve them. Seeing pictures of our planet as an island in a black sea made people realise that our planets resources are limited. In order to provide for such a rapidly increasing population, scientists are trying to find other planets that could one day be our new home. The greatest attention at present is on Mars because it is closer to Earth. In the future humans may live on both planets.
