Ⅰ.在空白处填入括号内单词的正确形式
1. When I came in, I found her quietly ________ (bury) in a novel.
buried
考查“find+宾语+宾补”结构,宾语her与宾补之间是逻辑上的动宾关系,故用过去分词。
2. The evidence is not detailed enough __________ (sustain) his argument.
to sustain
句意:证据不够详尽,不足以证明他的论点。此处为固定结构be+adj.+enough+to do,空处需填动词不定式to sustain作结果状语。
