It is found by Daniel from a geography magazine. The theme of it is human and society. In the text, four main landscapes(rivers, deserts, oceans,forests) are discussed. Their features are shown through personified descriptions.
The text adopts an expository style and uses personification and a first-person narrative, it vividly portrays rivers, deserts, oceans, and forests by endowing them with human traits and actions.
The writing aims to enhance students' awareness and appreciation of Earth's natural landscapes. By employing personification, it improves readability, sparks curiosity for exploration, fosters environmental consciousness, and encourages reflection on harmonious coexistence with nature.
First, students in Grade 7 have a certain understanding of landscapes through their daily life and the internet. Second, they have a certain ability of using proper strategies to guess new words from the context and get both main idea and detailed information form the passage.
