The Spring Festival falls on the first day of the first month of the lunar calendar. Although I have experienced it many times, it is still an enjoyable and exciting experience.
My favorite Spring Festival
5 days before the Spring Festival, I saw my parents busy cleaninig the room in the morning, and decorating the house with flowers and papercuts. I immediately joined them and set off early to buy couplets and stuck them on the doors, eagerly waiting for the coming of the New Year’s Eve .
On the Eve of the festival, my family members enjoyed getting together to have a big meal, including the tasty chicken soup, fish and so on as we watched the Spring Gala, which was really a feast for the eyes. My parents gave me some lucky money in red paper and I was so excited that I stayed up to welcome the new year.
Although feeling tired, I was extremely happy because the Festival provides a valuable chance for us to enjoy family reunion as well as be proud of our customs. I can't wait for the coming of the next Spring Festival.
