Forests give homes to many plants and animals.
Trees grow tall and strongly. Roots spread widely underground, holding soil firmly. Small plants like flowers grow peacefully under the trees.

However, cutting too many trees harms the ecosystem seriously. We must protect forests carefully.

We add the suffix -ly to some adjectives to form adverbs or adjectives. We can also add the suffix -ly to some nouns to form adjectives.

No, not all adjectives can be turned into adverbs by adding -ly. While many adjectives follow this rule (e.g. quick - quickly), some have irregular forms (e.g. good - well) and others stay the same (e.g. fast - fast).
