本单元的写作任务是应用文写作，主题为写一封申请信。申请信用于向某单位或组织提出要求、帮助或申请。申请信的内容和原因要表达清楚，在表达自己的愿望时，应该礼貌而自信。申请信的语气要真挚、友好，不能表现出强求的意思。
申请信通常分为三个段落：
第一段：说明写信的目的，包括自我介绍和申请原因。
第二段：详述有关背景资料，包括资历、教育经历、工作经历、兴趣爱好等。
第三段：强调上述材料的重要性，希望尽快得到答复以及表示感谢。
1．开头常用句式
①It is with great pleasure that I submit my application for the job.
我很高兴提交这份工作的申请。
②I'm writing this letter to apply for the position.
我写这封信是为了申请这个职位。
③I am writing to inquire about the possibility of the job.
我写信是想询问(获得)这份工作的可能性。
2．主体段落常用句式
①I am confident that I possess the necessary skills and qualifications to succeed in being a volunteer.
我相信我具备成为一名志愿者所必需的技能和资格。
②As a person who has a strong passion for Chinese culture, I think I'm fit to do the job.
作为一个对中国文化有强烈热情的人，我认为我适合做这份工作。
③What's more, I am well acquainted with the western culture.

④As an outgoing girl, I get along well with my classmates and am ready to offer help whenever it is needed.

⑤I have some working experience because I am a reporter for our school newspaper.

⑥I'm highly competent and self motivated to work in a changing and demanding environment.

3．结尾常用句式
①I will be much grateful if you can give me the opportunity.

②I am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
我期待着尽快收到您的来信。
③Your prompt reply will be highly appreciated.

假定你是李华，暑期在伦敦学习，得知当地美术馆要举办中国画展览。请写一封信申请做志愿者，内容包括：
1．写信目的；

注意：1.写作词数应为80个左右；
