Host: I'm walking along a busy beach in Thailand. Many families and friends are enjoying themselves. It's been many years since a tsunami happened here. The tsunami was terrible, but there were lots of touching moments. Some people, like Tilly Smith, saved lives bravely with their knowledge.
This clever 10-year-old girl saw the water going farther up the beach. It wasn't calm. She knew that a tsunami was coming. She learnt about tsunamis at school two weeks earlier. Tilly warned people on the beach. So they all ran to a hotel. Minutes later, the tsunami hit.
That school lesson saved about 100 lives. Knowledge can make a big difference between life and death.
