Start with a small talk. Begin with simple topics like “How was your weekend ” before moving to deeper subjects. This helps both people feel comfortable.先聊几句。从简单的话题开始,比如“你周末过得怎么样?”在进入更深的主题之前。这有助于两个人都感到舒适。

(3)point n. 观点;重点 v. 指向;瞄准(教材P76)
point 是一个多义词,既可以作为名词使用,也可以作为动词使用。作名词时意为“观点;重点”,作动词时意为“指向;瞄准”。
常用短语:
(1)point at 指着(比较近的人或物)
(2)point to 指着(比较远的人或物)
(3)point out 指出(问题、错误等)
(4)point sth. at sth. 用某物指向某物

(4)surely adv. 想必;必定(教材P76)
surely 意为“想必;必定”,是一个表示肯定和确信的副词,常用于强调事情的真实性或预期结果的确定性。
具体用法有:
(1) 在肯定句中表示对某件事情的确定性和信心。
(2) 在否定句中表示难以置信。
surely 的形容词形式是sure,意为“确信;有把握”。

(5)continue v. 持续;继续做(教材P76)
continue 表示某个动作或状态的持续性。可以用作及物动词或不及物动词,后面可以接名词、动名词或不定式作宾语。

continue with sth. 继续某事,表示继续进行某个方案、计划等。
这就是为什么它们可以在没有食物的情况下继续存活数周。

(6)impolite adj. 不礼貌的;粗鲁的(教材P76)
impolite 是形容词,意为“不礼貌的;粗鲁的”,常用句型
“It’s impolite to do sth.”,意为“做某事是不礼貌的。”
反义词:polite adj. 有礼貌的
im- 是英语构词法中一个常用的否定前缀,表示“非;不”,
可以加在形容词前面构成原词的反义词。
如:perfect(完美的)→ imperfect(不完美的)
patient(耐心的)→ impatient(没有耐心的)
和你老师在课堂上争吵是不礼貌的。

(7)pay v. 付费;交纳;偿还 n. 工资;薪水(教材P76)
pay作动词,意为“付费”,常用结构:
(1)pay sb. 付钱给某人 (2)pay for sth. 付某物的钱
(3)pay money (for sth.)(为某物)付钱
pay作动词,意为“交纳;偿还”
pay a fee/bill/fine/debt支付费用/账单/罚款/债务
pay 还可以作名词,意为“工资;薪水”,为不可数名词。

(8)find out 查明;弄清(情况)(教材P76)
find out 查明;弄清(情况)。一般用作及物动词词组。
find out 查明,查出。指通过调查或询问来弄清楚某件事情的真相或细节。
find 找到,发现。强调结果,通常指找到或发现具体的东西。

(9)pay attention (to...) 注意;关注(教材P76)
pay attention (to...) “注意;关注”,to 后面接名词、代词、动名词或句子作宾语。
该短语中的to 是介词,后面不能使用动词原形。

这是一个简单句,句子类型是一般疑问句。Do 是助动词,构成一般疑问句,you 是主语,find 是谓语动词,it 是形式宾语,指代真正的宾语to have a conversation with a stranger,句中的hard 是形容词,作宾语补足语。
