In the West, people usually celebrate Christmas with their families. They put up a Christmas tree at home, share a large meal together, and give each other presents. Nowadays, there are also some creative ways to celebrate Christmas.

In Germany, Christmas markets are very famous. People like going shopping and buying lots of things there.
In Italy, a huge seafood and pasta dinner is tradition for Italians on Christmas Eve. The tradition of serving seven different seafood dishes. “七鱼宴”
In Spain, there is a wood with a smiling face called Caga Tió. On Christmas Eve or Christmas Day, children hit it with sticks and sing songs, expecting it to receive sweets and small gifts.
In Norway, families light a candle every night starting on Christmas Eve and ending on New Year's Day.
In China, the word for "apple" sounds similar to the word for "peace" . So giving an apple on Christmas is seen as a way to wish for peace and safety .
