I realized it was me who was at fault. The dog wasn't just a pet for him; it was his family. My inconsideration forced him and Toby to leave in the rain without being understood. how lonely he must have felt and how selfish I was! The hurt look on my brother's face when he left that day lingered in my heart constantly. At the thought of this, a feeling of guilt and shame washed over me, making it hard for me to breathe. The next few days witnessed my conscience being tortured deeply, feeling like sitting on pins and needles. An inner voice kept echoing in my mind that I couldn't delay this apology any longer. The moment I told my wife my plan, she was supportive and suggested baking some of my brother's favorite biscuits. Driven by a desperate need to make things right, I grabbed rny keys , jumped into the car and headed to my brother's home without a second thought.
Para 1
With the biscuits my wife had made, I arrived at my brother’s door. Before I could even knock, Toby's vibrant barking erupted from inside.scratching at the door. The door creaked open an' out rushed Toby, with its tail wagging wildly. Then I was met with a surprise, with indifference and annoyance from my brother. It took a deep breath and began, “Brother, I come here with a heavy heart, full aware of my thoughtlessness. Toby is as much a part of your family as any human member, ard l should have show greater empathy." Almost instantly, his eyes wet with tears, he took the biscuits and signalsd me to enter, As we sat in ihe cosy living room, the awkwardness slowly faded, replaced by laughter and tears.Through open hearted conversations, we healed the wound between us, proving that empathy, forgiveness and commnunication are tne true bridges to mend broken bonds.
