The sun is at the center of the solar system.It is about 4.5 billion years old and 150 million kilometers away from the earth. The temperature at the sun's surface is about 5526.85 ℃. The sun provides energy, light and heat for the earth. According to scientists,in about 3.5 billion years from now,the sun will be 40% brighter than it is today, and it will get bigger and bigger.In about 4.5 billion years, the sun will turn into a huge red ball and then die by breaking into small pieces.
