在复合句中作条件状语的句子叫条件状语从句。条件状语从句常用if 来引导。

if 引导的条件状语从句,既可放在主句前,也可放在主句后。位于主句前,要用逗号与主句隔开;位于主句后,其前不必用逗号。
◆ If you want to keep fit, you should exercise at least
thirty minutes a day.
