The Classic of Mountains and Seas
《山海经》
《山海经》包含着关于上古地理、历史、神话、天文、动物、植物、医学、宗教以及人类学、民族学、海洋学和科技史等方面的诸多内容，是一部上古社会生活的百科全书。
其中记载了很多的极具神秘感的奇异动物(fantastic / amazing animals)。

What amazing animals are there in this book
驺吾(zōu wú)是古代中国神话传说中的仁兽。林氏国一种十分珍贵的神兽，个体如老虎一般，身上有五彩斑斓的花纹，尾巴比身子要长，像白毛黑纹的虎，但不吃活的禽兽，很能奔跑，一天能跑500千米。
Background
疏(huān shū)
疏长得像西方的独角兽，它的特殊能力是能够避免火灾的发生。 《山海经》中记载：带山有兽焉，其状如马，一角有错，其名曰 疏。
鹦 (wǔ)(鹉)
《山海经》记载：又西百八十里，曰黄山，有鸟焉，其状如鸮，青羽赤喙，人舌能言，名曰鹦 。
Background
狌狌，或叫作猩猩，形状像长毛猿的兽类。
传说他通晓过去的事情，但是却无法知道未来的事情。
文鳐(yáo)鱼形状像鲤鱼，长着鱼的身体鸟的翅膀，浑身布满苍色的花纹，头是白色的，嘴是红色的。
山海经中描写了非常多的奇珍异兽，共约128只神兽，有一些我们已经和现在的动物对上了号，比如鹦鹉，还有一些则是未解之谜。
