1. They turn the old, yellow pages. 他们翻开陈旧的、发黄的纸张。
（1）turn 翻转；翻页

（1）throw away 是短语动词，意为 “扔掉；丢弃；抛弃”。后接名词或代词，遵循“代中名中后”原则，即名词放在短语中间或后面，代词必须放中间。

* This pen is broken. Throw it away. 这支钢笔坏了，把它扔掉。
（2）guess what 猜猜看 make a guess 做个猜测
* Can you guess what’s in my pocket 你能猜出我口袋里有什么吗？

lit 是动词 “light” 的过去分词形式，“light up”是短语动词，在句中作谓语，强调 “（使）发亮、照亮” 的状态或动作。
