Unit 7 Happy Birthday!
一、基数词变序数词规则及序数词用法
1. 基数词变序数词规则
变化类型 规则 例词
基本规则 大多数基数词后加 -th four → fourth; six → sixth; ten → tenth
以 ty 结尾的整十数 变 ty 为 tie，再加 -th twenty → twentieth; thirty → thirtieth; fifty → fiftieth
不规则变化 特殊记忆，无固定规则 one → first; two → second; three → third; five → fifth; eight → eighth; nine → ninth; twelve → twelfth
几十几的序数词 只变个位数，十位数仍用基数词 twenty-one → twenty-first; thirty-five → thirty-fifth
记忆口诀：基变序，有规律，词尾加上 -th；
二、三，特殊记，词尾字母t,d,d,(first, second, third)；
八去 t，九去 e，ve 要用 f 替（five→fifth, twelve→twelfth）；
整十数ty 结尾变 tie，后面再加 -th；
若是遇到几十几，只变个位就可以。
2. 序数词的用法
表顺序：序数词前一般加定冠词 the，后接单数名词。
例句：The first lesson is very easy.（第一课很简单）
拓展：表 “又一、再一” 时，序数词前用不定冠词 a/an。
例句：He failed twice, but he wants to have a third try.（他失败了两次，但想再试一次）
表日期：常用 “the + 序数词 + of + 月份” 或 “月份 + the + 序数词”。
例句：Today is the fifth of October. = Today is October the fifth.
作副词：序数词前不加冠词。
例句：I finished the work first.（我第一个完成了工作）
二、 what/when/who/where/why/how much/how many/how old 引导的特殊疑问句
特殊疑问句结构：疑问词 + 一般疑问句（be 动词 / 助动词 / 情态动词 + 主语 + 其他）

三、 重点词汇用法
1. buy的用法
buy sth. for sb. = buy sb. sth. 给某人买某物
例句：My father bought a bike for me. = My father bought me a bike.
buy sth. from... 从…… 买某物
例句：She buys vegetables from the supermarket every day.
2. enjoy的用法
派生词：enjoyable（形容词，令人愉快的）；enjoyment（名词，愉快、乐趣）
核心用法：
enjoy sth. 喜欢某物、享受某物
例句：We enjoy the beautiful music.
enjoy doing sth. 喜欢做某事（后接动名词，不可接不定式）
例句：She enjoys reading novels in her free time.
enjoy oneself = have a good time 玩得开心
例句：The children enjoyed themselves at the party.
3. total的用法
副词：totally（完全地、总共）
作形容词：意为 “总的、全部的”，常作定语或表语
例句：The total cost of the trip is 1000 yuan.（定语）；The number of students is 50 in total.（表语）
作名词：意为 “总数、合计”，常用搭配 in total（总共）
例句：The total of the bill is 200 yuan.；In total, we have 8 lessons a day.
price的用法
派生词：priceless（形容词，无价的）；
常用搭配：the price of sth. …… 的价格 at a good price 以优惠的价格
例句：What’s the price of this T-shirt （= How much is this T-shirt ）
修饰词：high/low（价格高 / 低），
例句：The price of the house is very high.（√）
high 与 height 辨析

例句：The news surprised all of us.
作形容词：

sell 与 sale 辨析

9. celebrate的用法
派生词：celebration（名词，庆祝、庆典）→ celebrations（复数）
核心用法：
celebrate sth. 庆祝某事（后接节日、生日等名词，不加介词）
例句：We celebrate Spring Festival every year.；She celebrated her 14th birthday last week.
名词搭配：have a celebration 举行庆祝活动
