2. Sometimes my friends and I argue but don’t know how to make up.
(1) argue v. 争论;争吵 名词形式是 argument
常用搭配: argue with sb.(about sth.) (就某事)和某人争吵
=have an argument with sb. (about sth.)
argue about sth. 就某事争吵
They argued with each other about the best way to solve the problem.
他们就解决问题的最佳方法彼此进行了争论。
They are arguing about the math problem. 他们正在争论那个数学问题。
I had an argument with my best friend yesterday.
昨天我和我最好的朋友吵架了。
(2) make up (with sb.)
With the help of our teacher, he made up with his friend.

prefer v. 较喜欢 相当于like ... better, 其过去式是 preferred。
常用搭配:

calm ① adj. 镇静的;沉着的;风平浪静的;无风的
keep calm 保持平静
