2. Sometimes my friends and I argue but don’t know how to make up.
(1) argue v. 争论；争吵 名词形式是 argument
常用搭配: argue with sb.(about sth.) (就某事)和某人争吵
=have an argument with sb. (about sth.)
argue about sth. 就某事争吵
They argued with each other about the best way to solve the problem.
他们就解决问题的最佳方法彼此进行了争论。
They are arguing about the math problem. 他们正在争论那个数学问题。
I had an argument with my best friend yesterday.
昨天我和我最好的朋友吵架了。
(2) make up (with sb.)
With the help of our teacher, he made up with his friend.
在老师的帮助下，他和朋友和解了。

3. I understand, but meeting in person is not always easy.
in person 亲自；亲身 可用于表示两个人之间面对面谈话或者自己亲身经历或亲眼所见。

prefer v. 较喜欢 相当于like ... better, 其过去式是 preferred。
常用搭配:
(1) prefer +名词或代词 较喜欢......

5. If you stay calm and say sorry, it will help.
calm ① adj. 镇静的；沉着的；风平浪静的；无风的
keep calm 保持平静
She kept calm in the face of danger. 面对危险，她保持冷静。
The sea was very calm this morning. 今天早上大海很平静。
She is a very calm person. She is hardly flustered.
她是个很沉着的人。她很少慌乱。

calm sb. down 使某人平静下来
Her parents talked with her and calmed her down.

③ calm还可以作名词，表示平静或宁静的状态。
