Alexander Fleming (1881.8.6-1955.3.11)
discovered penicillin in 1928, and, together with pathologist Florey and biochemist Chain, turned it into the world’s first antibiotic, earning a shared Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Born: Aug. 31, 1922
Died: May 22, 2021
Wu Mengchao was a Chinese surgeon外科医生 and a medical scientist who specialized in hepatobiliary肝胆的 surgery.
He was also known as the "Father of Chinese Hepatobiliary Surgery"(中国肝胆外科之父).

Anna Smith: So they were like your role models
Dr Wang: Yes, exactly. I admired them because I saw the greatness in them. You two must have role models too, right
Wang Le: Yes, that’s right. One of mine is Tu Youyou, whose research led to the discovery of artemisinin. I really admire people like her.
Anna Smith: My personal heroes are Alexander Fleming, who discovered penicillin, and Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. Countless lives were saved due to their amazing work.

Dr Wang: Those are certainly some great people. I admire them too.
Anna Smith: So, Dr Wang, what advice do you have for us, the younger generation
Dr Wang: I think when you are young, it is very important to find out what really interests you. Also, never lose interest in it when it seems a bit too hard for you.
Anna Smith: Thanks, Dr Wang, that’s really good advice! Successful people always push themselves to do difficult things.
Dr Wang: That’s right, Anna. They challenge themselves to solve difficult problems. It helps them reach their goals and achieve great things.

I think Dr Zhong Nanshan is the greatest person in my heart. Because he managed the SARS outbreak. Although he never made millions of dollars, his contributions to health care have saved countless lives. To be great, a people should do good things and inspire a lot of people.
