一、语法一致原则

Subject-verb Agreement:
主谓一致是指谓语动词在人称和数上要和主语保持一致。
主语是单数（可数名词/不可数名词），谓语动词用单数；主语是复数，谓语动词用复数。
He walks along the street.
They walk along the stree.
An apple is put in the bag.
Several apples are put in the bag.
一、语法一致
4.当有a lot of，lots of, plenty of, most/some/many of +名词作主语时，谓语动词单复数取决于of后的名词
Lots of people _____(like) to take a walk after supper.
5.分数，百分数作主语，谓语动词取决于of后的名词
(1)Twenty percent of the students _____(be) from Japan.
(2)Three fourths of the surface of the earth _________(cover) by water.
6.the number of+名词复数，谓语动词用单数 a number of +名词复数，谓语动词用复数
The number of the students in our class____(be) 64 and a number of them_______(study) hard.

一、语法一致原则: 谓语动词与主语在单、复数形式上保持一致
1.可数名词单数及不可数名词作主语，谓语动词用单数
Water________(be)essential for life.
2.不定代词作主语时(everything,anyone, somebody, nobody,either, no one, neither…)谓语动词用单数
(1).Everyone _______(be) here.
(2). Somebody ___________(knock) on the door now.
(3).Neither of them_______ (want) to go to Beijing.
3.动词不定式、动名词、从句作主语，谓语动词用单数
(1)Reading books _________(be) good for our study.

1. 形式为单数，但意义为复数的集合名词people, cattle, police等作主语，谓语动词用复数;
2. news, maths, physics,politics, economics等形式上是复数，但意义上是单数作主语，谓语动词用单数;
3. 当主语是family, class,team, group, audience, crew,crowd, government等集体名词时，如果看作是一个整体，谓语用单数，如果强调其中成员，谓语用复数
