肯定句：There is + 单数名词/不可数名词 例：There is a square in my neighbourhood.（我的小区里有一个广场。）
肯定句：There are + 复数名词 例：There are many trees and flowers everywhere.（到处都有很多树和花。）
否定句：There is not (isn’t) / There are not (aren’t) 例：There isn’t a subway in this town.（这个小镇没有地铁。）例：There aren’t any big supermarkets here.（这里没有大型超市。）
一般疑问句：Is there... / Are there... 例：Is there a park near your home （你家附近有公园吗？）例：Are there any bookstores in the neighbourhood （小区里有书店吗？）
过去时：There was / There were 例：There was only one small shop in the town before.（以前这个小镇只有一家小商店。）例：There were no lifts in old apartment buildings.（老旧公寓楼以前没有电梯。）
就近原则 当主语有多个时，be动词与邻近主语一致例：There is a bed and two chairs in the room.（房间里有一张床和两把椅子。）例：There are two chairs and a bed in the room.（房间里有两把椅子和一张床。）
