The analysis of the text It is an important part of language output training in this unit. Through these exercises, students can not only review and consolidate the vocabulary, grammar, and sentence patterns they have learned in the previous classes but also improve their writing skills, which is crucial for their overall language proficiency. The content is closely related to students' school life, which can arouse their interest and make it easier for them to connect with real - life situations.
The analysis of students The students have mastered the basic structure of if conditional sentences and simple communication scenario vocabulary. In writing, some students are more creative and can come up with vivid ideas, but they may have trouble in grammar and spelling. Others may write in a more conservative way, focusing on correct grammar but lacking in innovation.
Core competences　　　 Through this lesson, ss will be able to: understand the structure and main ideas of the reading passage about Minghua Middle School. improve their writing skills, including sentence - making, paragraph - organizing, and expressing ideas clearly and coherently. develop students' confidence in expressing themselves in English writing and encourage them to be creative.

Step I Warm up Greetings. Have ss complete the sentences with the new words. Students greet and finish 2a. Assess students' mastery of vocabulary and its antonyms, as well as their ability to apply vocabulary in context.
Purpose Make enough preparation for next activities.
Step II Practice Work on 2b and 2c Have ss complete the sentences with the phrases in the box in 2b and complete the passage with the correct forms of the words in the box, then put them in the correct order to make a short passage in 2d. Ss finish the tasks in 2b and 2c and check answers. Observe whether ss can accurately use these words for different tasks.
Purpose Improve students' ability to use vocabulary in context.
Step III Writing Lead ss to read the invitation quickly and underline the date, time,place and topic of the speech in 3a. Have ss decide whether each sentences is the opening or the closing for an invitation letter in 3b. Have ss write a letter to invite all students and their parents to attend the speech. Students read Mandy’s dreams and finish 3a,3b and 3c. Observe students' ability to gain key information from the reading and to write.
Purpose Develop students' creative thinking and independent writing ability by asking them to write based on an outline.
Step IV Summary The teacher leads students to summarize what they have learned. The teacher guides students to complete the assessment of this lesson. Students recall the learned knowledge of today and complete the assessment form. To check if students can summarize the knowledge they learned.
Purpose Help students sort out the knowledge learned in this class, strengthen their memory, and form a complete knowledge system.
Step V Homework You must do: Ask students to rewrite their compositions, making improvements based on the teacher's and classmates' suggestions. If you can: Create a "communication tips" poster with "if" clauses Homework can help students strengthen the knowledge which they have learned.

Teaching Reflection In the vocabulary review part, a few students had trouble in using some words and phrases accurately, indicating that more practice and review are needed. I can provide more sentence - combining exercises in class to help students learn how to use complex sentence structures, such as using conjunctions and relative clauses.
