Natural disasters are unexpected and dangerous. They bring big dangers to people’s lives and mon kinds are earthquakes and floods. Both of them happen suddenly and can destroy a lot of things.
When a disaster comes, people often feel scared at first. But good responses can make losses smaller. Mobile phone alerts are useful early warnings—they give people valuable time to get ready. Once you get an alert, leaving the area quickly is key to staying safe. After disasters, on-site first aid gives important medical help to hurt people. Preparing for disasters is always necessary.

Pliny the Younger was a writer. He recorded the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. Let’s read and find out what happened to him.
