Language points
fewer 和 less 均为比较级形式，分别对应 few 和 little，区别如下：
“fewer ” 修饰可数名词复数。当表示可数事物在数量上比其他事物更少时，就用 fewer。
例如：There are fewer students in this class than in that class. 这个班这个班的学生比那个班的少。
“less” 修饰不可数名词。如要描述不可数的量，如时间、金钱、水等，比另一个量更小时，用 less。固定短语有“more or less”（或多或少）等。
例如：I have less money than you. 我的钱比你的少。
The project is more or less finished.
这个项目或多或少已经完成了。
“fewer ” 更强调数量的具体减少，是在明确的可数个体数量上进行比较，给人一种更具体、更清晰的数量概念。
例如：We should buy fewer bottles of water to reduce waste.
我们应该少买几瓶水以减少浪费。
“less” 更侧重于表示一种程度上的减少或弱化，在修饰不可数名词时，往往给人一种整体量的减少或程度降低的感觉，比较抽象。
例如：We need less noise in the classroom.
我们需要教室里少点噪声。
