这是一个 “It is + adj. + for sb. to do sth.” 的固定句型，意为 “对某人来说做某事是…… 的” ，其中 “it” 是形式主语，真正的主语是 “to develop skills” ；“that will be valuable in the future” 是定语从句，修饰 “skills” ，关系代词 that 在从句中作主语。
常见例句：
