DeepSeek: A Good Servant or a Bad Master
Recently, our class had a discussion about AI learning tools like Deepseek. Some students are for it because it not only can provide quick answers , but also can make difficult problesms easier. Moreover, it can help us learn in fun ways. However, others are against it. They think some students may just copy the answers without thinking, and sometimes AI may even give wrong information. Besides, depending too much on AI may make us lazy in thinking.
In my opinion, DeepSeek can be a good servant if we use it wisely. First, we should always check if the answers are correct and try to understand the steps. Second, we can use it to get ideas and explanations ,but not to do all our homework for us.
Let’s use AI as a helpful tool, not become lazy learners controlled by it. After all, isn’t our

One evening last autumn, while Marcos, 15, did his homework and his father, Frank, 47, prepared lesson plans, they heard screaming outside. It was from one of their neighbors, the Smith family. Then Marcos’ eye was caught by a glow (火光) from there.
“The house’s on fire!” Marcos cried. Wearing only in shorts, the barefoot (光脚的) teen ran out with his dad. When they got there, Grandmother Mary, mother Susan, and son Nathan were crying for help. Through the open front door, father Alex was staggering (磕磕绊绊) down the stairs, coughing heavily.

①Life is full of moments, but some are"special" and stay in our hearts forever. For example, the first time you rode a bike alone,a friend's hug when you were sad,or an evening talking with family. These moments aren't always big,but they change how we feel about ourselves and the world.
② Special moments are like treasures. We don't need to write them down——our hearts remember them.A teacher might praise a shy student's drawing, making the child I important. A parent could bake cookies with you on a rainy day, filling the kitchen laughter. Even strangers can create them:a barista who knows your coffee order,or the neighbor who helps carry groceries. These small acts stay in our minds because they make us feel loved.
③ Businesses also use special moments.A café might play soft music and serve warm cookies on cold days to make customers feel welcome.A bookstore could hold story time for kids every weekend, turning a visit into a happy memory. An ice-cream shop lets customers decorate their own cones(冰激凌桶)——seeing a child smile while adding something is a moment everyone remembers.
④ In the end, special moments are everywhere. They don't need money or planning——just a little care.A kind word,a smile,or a small surprise can make life richer. So take time to enjoy these moments——they make life worth living.

D
If you’ve ever watched a pet dog getting up from its bed and spreading out, with its front paws on the floor and its tail pointing up in the air, you’ll know where the downward-facing dog pose gets its name. You’ll have noticed that many other well-known yoga poses take their names from animals too. But just why is it that so many poses are based on animals, insects, and even birds
To understand where these poses came from you have to think like an ancient yogi. The practice of yoga started many thousands of years ago. There were no cars, computers, high-rise buildings, or playgrounds, so instead people looked to the natural world for inspiration (灵感).
Dawattie Basdeo teaches yoga to children and young people. She explains, “Ancient yogis sat in nature and watched the world around them. They would have been watching the way that animals moved and thinking about copying those shapes. Yoga is about understanding how the world works and your place within it through movement and meditation (冥想).”
Young children are flexible (柔韧的). But as humans grow up, they spend more time sitting at desks or travelling in cars, and their flexibility decreases. Animals don’t have this problem—in fact, they often depend on their bodies and their ability to move to survive.
Dawattie says, “Thinking about animal forms and shapes can make the different yoga poses easy to understand and remember. When you think of the way a dog spreads out, you can easily picture what a downward-facing dog pose might look like. ①A clear picture will come to your mind.”
Yoga is also a spiritual practice, where you think about improving your self-awareness as you move, hold positions, pay attention to your breathing, and meditate.②
Some breathing exercises practised in yoga also take inspiration from nature, such as Bhramari Pranayama—or bee breathing—where the breath sounds like the buzzing of a bumblebee(大黄蜂).③
Along with taking inspiration from the living beings around them, the ancient yogis were also inspired by the landscapes of the natural world. ④There are postures(姿势) that mirror the calmness of a mountain or the strength and balance of a tall tree.
“Humans think of themselves as being at the top of the species ladder,” says Dawattie. “But we can gain so much from the other animals on the planet.”
( )27.What can we learn about yoga from the passage
Yoga was first created for modern stress. B.Yoga suits someone with good flexibility.
C.Yoga makes humans as strong as animals. D.Yoga connects humans to the natural world.
( )28.The following sentence can be best placed at ________.
When you pose like a powerful lion, you might think about its strengths and characteristics.
A.① B.② C.③ D.④
( )29.Why is “mountain” pose mentioned in the passage
A.To show yoga is about more than animals. B.To teach how to stand like a mountain.
C.To prove yoga is just for nature lovers. D.To explain what to do with the breath.
( )30.How does the writer share information in the passage
A.By giving facts and examples. B.By listing historical events.
C.By sharing experiences and opinions. D.By comparing different animals.
第二节:任务型阅读(10分)
从以下选项中选出符合各段意思的小标题。选项中有一项是多余项,并回答35题。
A simple and common way to water plants is to hold a garden pipe(管)and let the water fall down directly on the plants and soil. This is a good choice that doesn't waste water. It can also help stop plant disease. But a garden pipe isn't the only way to water your plants.
The When and How of Watering
 31. This lets the water go deeply into the soil before the weather gets too hot. If you water late in the day, the water will just evaporate(蒸发)from the surface. If you water in the evening, the plants stay too wet overnight.
 32. If you water quickly every day, it doesn't help the roots, which can spread over 30 centimeters into the soil. Water the soil less often, but deeply. Be careful when watering very dry soil because the water will just run off without getting into the soil. Water your plants slowly and make sure the water is taken in by earth.
Collect and Reuse Water
 33. Instead of emptying water out after boiling foods, keep it and reuse it to water plants. Just make sure the water does not have salt in it. You can also catch and use rainwater.
Choose Native Plants
Most gardeners just think about which plants look good and the plants' sunlight needs. But watering needs should be considered, too. Drought-resistant(抗早的)plants shouldn't be overwatered when trying to keep thirstier plants watered.
It's also best to use plants that are native to the area where you live. These plants are likely to be resistant to drought. 34. After that, they can live on just rainwater except for during times of extreme heat.
A. They just need watering for the first two years. B. It's also important to collect different kinds of water. C. The best time to water your plants is in the morning. D. How you water is just as important as when you water. E. One way to help keep costs low for watering is to use used water.
How will you water your plants if there isn't enough water around (不超过15词)
