It was a sunny day last Saturday. Peter was excited to try out his new skateboard. He got it as a birthday gift the other day.
After breakfast, Peter took his skateboard and helmet, and headed outside to the skatepark. He put the skateboard on the ground and stepped on it. With a push he was off. The wind brushed against his face as he picked up speed. “This is fantastic!” Peter shouted.
But suddenly, the skateboard hit a stone on the ground. Peter lost his balance and fell forward. He rolled over and over and finally came to a stop.
It took Peter a moment to catch his breath. He felt a bit of pain on his left side. Peter tried to stand up. Luckily he found that there was nothing seriously wrong with him. The fall was scary, but thankfully, his helmet kept him safe. Peter couldn’t help but feel thankful to his mother, who always reminded him to wear a helmet when riding a bike or a skateboard. After a short break, Peter took a deep breath and bravely stepped back onto his skateboard, ready to give it another try!
