Dear Editor,
I am a 14-year-old student. Last month my school held a “No Plastic Week”. We were not allowed to use any plastic bags or bottles. I thought it would be easy. On the first day I forgot and bought milk in a plastic bottle. The teacher asked me to write a self-criticism. I felt embarrassed but started to think about my habits. I bought a cloth bag and a metal bottle. By the end of the week I had used no plastic at all. The challenge made me realize that small personal choices can help the Earth. I hope every school can try it.
Yours,
Wang Lin
