倡议书又称倡议信，是就某些事情或问题，向有关方面、部门或群体发出倡议、提出建议所使用的日常应用文。
写倡议书要注意：一、所倡议的事情必须有一定的社会意义；二、能够引起有关方面的人士的关注；三、所倡议的事情要切实可行，能够让人们附议。

第一步：发出倡议的背景、原因和目的。 倡议书、呼吁信的发出贵在引起响应，只有交待清楚原因、背景、事实，并申明目的，才会使呼吁方理解和信服并展开行动。(what)
第二步：倡议的具体内容和要求 ，内容具体化才能体现它的意义和行动价值。 最好分条开列，这样清晰明确，一目了然。(why and how)
第三步：结尾要表示倡议者的决心和希望。（a call to action）

As World Oceans Day approaches, we are reminded once again of the importance of the ocean. Not only is the ocean home to an abundance of life, but it also plays an indispensable role in maintaining the balance of the global ecosystem.
However, human activities are putting the ocean at risk. It’s high time that we took action to protect our oceans. Switching to a greener lifestyle is the first step towards ensuring sustainable development for the ocean. Besides, adopting measures to rid the ocean of plastic garbage should be a global priority. On top of that, we students should take advantage of every opportunity to raise public awareness of marine conservation.
Together, we can make a difference and ensure the health of our oceans for years to come.

Fortunately, we can do our bit to help. First of all, attach great importance to protecting the ocean by neither throwing garbage nor pouring waste water into the ocean. There is no denying that oceans have a profound impact on our life. First and foremost, not only do oceans offer us sufficient food, but also they maintain the balance of nature, thus ensuring the survival and development of humanity. What’s more, oceans undoubtedly provide most of the oxygen we breathe.
