Cardinal numbers.
基数词
我们通常用基数词来表示数量的多少。生活中我们可以用来谈论距离、面积、价钱、温度、尺寸、电话号码、人数、事物的数量、编号、门牌号、年龄、年代、时刻、年级、班级等。
e.g. A new dress costs over four hundred yuan.
It is about seventy-five centimeters tall.
Between January and March the temperature stays
below 0 °C every day.
一、用法
0 = zero 11 = eleven
1 = one 12 = twelve
2 = two 13 = thirteen
3 = three 14 = fourteen
4 = four 15 = fifteen
5 = five 16 = sixteen
6 = six 17 = seventeen
7 = seven 18 = eighteen
8 = eight 19 = nineteen
9 = nine
10 = ten
注意： 13—19均以teen结尾。但thirteen, fifteen, eighteen略有不同。
二、构成
20 = twenty
30 = thirty
40 = forty
50 = fifty
60 = sixty
70 = seventy
80 = eighty
90 = ninety
100 = hundred
注意：20以上100以内的整十数，均以ty结尾；20以上的非整十数，书写时要在十位和个位之间加连字符。但twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, eighty略有不同。

Ordinal numbers
序数词
我们通常用序数词来谈论日期、楼层、名次、年级等。在表达日期时，用“月份 + 日期 + 年份”或“日期 + 月份 + 年份”，其中日期用序数词表示，年份用基数词表示，并需用逗号把年份与其前面的部分隔开。
一、用法
序数词的常见用法
表示次序 the second boy 第二个男孩
表示日期 the seventeenth of January 一月十七日
表示生日 his thirtieth birthday 他的三十岁生日
表示名次 come first 获得第一名
表示楼层 the third floor 第三（四）层
1st = first
2nd = second
3rd = third
4th = fourth
5th = fifth

7th = seventh

二、构成
基变序，有规律，词尾加上 th；
一、二、三，特殊记，
词尾字母t，d，d (first, second, third)；
八去t，九去e (eighth, ninth)；
ve要用f替(fifth, twelfth)；
ty将y改成i，th前面有个e；
若是碰到几十几，前用基来后用序；
序有缩式莫忘记，比较就能心牢记。

序数词须与the、物主代词或名词所有格连用。

Pay attention!

序数词作副词时，不用the。
