状语从句引导词详解
1.时间状语从句
(1) 由when引导的时间状语从句
when引导时间状语从句时意为“当……的时候；在……之后”，表示从句的动作和主句的动作同时发生或先后发生。
When I first arrived on this island, I had nothing.
当我最初到达这个岛屿时，我一无所有。
(2) 由while引导的时间状语从句
while引导时间状语从句时意为“当……的时候”，表示从句的动作和主句动作同时发生，从句的谓语动词需用延续性动词。
I bought a magazine while I was waiting for the train.
我在等火车时买了本杂志。

(3) 由as引导的时间状语从句
as引导时间状语从句时意为“当……时；随着”，强调主句的动作和从句的动作同时发生。
The sun shone brightly as we got on the school bus.
我们上校车时，阳光明媚。
(4) 由after引导的时间状语从句
after引导时间状语从句时意为“在……之后”，表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之后。
Zimmerman changed his name after he left Germany.
齐默尔曼离开德国后改了名字。

before引导时间状语从句时意为“在……之前”，表示主句的动作发生在从句的动作之前。

她走之前留言了吗？
(6) 由since引导的时间状语从句
since引导时间状语从句时表示“自……以来”，从句常用一般过去时，主句常用现在完成时或现在完成进行时。
Cath hasn’t phoned back since she went to Berlin.
自从去了柏林，凯丝就没有打回来过电话。
1.时间状语从句
(7) 由until/till引导的时间状语从句
until/till引导时间状语从句时意为“直到……为止”。当主句的谓语动词是延续性动词时，主句常用肯定形式，表示主句的动作延续到从句所表达的动作发生为止；当主句的谓语动词是终止性动词时，主句常用否定形式，即构成not…until…, 这时意为“直到……才……”。
He waited until she had finished speaking.
他一直等到她讲完。
You can’t go out until you’ve finished your English homework.
你直到完成英语作业才能外出。
1.时间状语从句
(8) 由as soon as引导的时间状语从句
as soon as引导时间状语从句时意为“一……就……”，表示从句的动作一发生，主句的动作马上就发生。
I’ll write to you as soon as I get to Beijing.
我一到北京就给你写信。
2.地点状语从句
(1) 由where引导的地点状语从句
The bus will take you where you’re going.
公共汽车将把你送到你要去的地方。
(2) 由wherever引导的地点状语从句
We’ll go wherever you like.
你想去哪儿我们就去哪儿。
3.原因状语从句
(1) 由because引导的原因状语从句
because引导的原因状语从句语气最强，多用于表示直接原因，引导的从句一般放在主句后，有时也可放在主句前。
The food tasted great because I was so hungry!
这些食物的味道非常好，因为我很饿！
(2) 由since引导的原因状语从句
since引导的原因状语从句语气比because弱，陈述的理由往往是对方知道的，意为“既然”。
Since everyone has come, let’s begin our meeting.
既然大家都来了，我们开始会议吧。
3.原因状语从句
(3) 由as引导的原因状语从句
as引导的原因状语从句语气最弱，只是附带较明显的原因或理由。
because＞since＞as
As it was dark, we stopped working.
天黑了，所以我们停止工作了。
4.目的状语从句
(1) 由so that引导的目的状语从句
I am saving money so that I can buy a house.
我正在攒钱，为的是能买一所房子。
(2) 由in order that引导的目的状语从句
He worked hard in order that he could succeed.
他努力工作，以便可以成功。
注：so that和in order that均可译为“以便；为了”。in order that常用于正式文体，可置于句首或句中，而so that常置于句中，且so that中的that有时可省略。
5.结果状语从句
(1) 由so…that…引导的结果状语从句
so…that…引导结果状语从句时意为”如此……以至于……”。so后面可以接形容词或副词。
We were so tired that we fell asleep soon.
我们太累了以至于很快就睡着了。
(2) 由such…that…引导的结果状语从句
such…that…引导结果状语从句时意为“如此……以至于……”。such后面接名词。
Master Roshi has done such an important job that people are thankful to him.龟仙人做了一项如此重要的工作，以至于人们都对他充满感激。
6.条件状语从句
(1) 由if引导的条件状语从句
if引导条件状语从句时意为“如果”。
If he or she blows out all candles in one go, the wish will come true.如果他（她）一口气吹灭所有的蜡烛，愿望就会成真。
(2) 由unless引导的条件状语从句
unless引导条件状语从句时意为“除非”，unless等于if…not。
Unless we talk to someone, we’ll certainly feel worse.
除非我们跟人交谈，否则我们肯定会感觉更糟。

(3) 由as long as引导的条件状语从句
as long as引导条件状语从句时意为“只要”。
We’ll go camping as long as the weather is good.
只要天气好我们就去野营。
7.让步状语从句
(1) 由though/although引导的让步状语从句
though/although引导让步状语从句时意为“虽然；即使”，不能与but连用。
Although she’s wrong, it’s not a big deal.
虽然她错了，但这不是一个大问题。
(2) 由even if/even though引导的让步状语从句
even if/even though引导让步状语从句时意为“虽然；即使”，表示语气更强的让步。
He’s the best teacher, even though/if he has the least experience.虽然他经验最少，但他是最出色的老师。
7.让步状语从句
(3) 由whatever, whenever, wherever, whoever, however, whichever等引导的让步状语从句
“疑问词+ever”引导让步状语从句时可以转换为“no matter+疑问词”。
I don’t want to see them, whoever they are.
无论他们是谁，我都不想见。
8.比较状语从句
(1) 由as引导的比较状语从句
Maybe by the end of this semester, you’ll be as tall as your father.也许到这个学期结束时，你就会跟你父亲一样高了。
(2) 由than引导的比较状语从句
The results were better than I expected.
结果比我期望的要好。
Everything will be ok.
9.方式状语从句
(1) 由as引导的方式状语从句
You should do as Paul tells you.
你应按照保罗告诉你的做。
You should do as Paul tells you.
(2) 由as if引导的方式状语从句
He spoke as if he had been there before.
他说的好像自己以前去过那里一样。
