1.可数名词和不可数名词
普通名词可分为可数名词和不可数名词。可以用数字一个一个数出来的名词,叫作可数名词。不可以用数字一个一个数出来的名词,叫作不可数名词。

变化规则 例词
一般情况下,词尾加-s animal—animals
以s, x, ch, sh结尾的可数名词,一般情况下词尾加-es bus—buses
以th结尾的可数名词,词尾加-s watch—watches
以“元音字母+y”结尾的可数名词,词尾加-s boy—boys
以“辅音字母+y”结尾的可数名词,变y为i,再加-es baby—babies
以o结尾的可数名词,词尾加-es或-s potato—potatoes

现在进行时主要用来表示说话时正在进行或发生的动作。

动词-ing形式的变化规则
(1)在词尾直接加-ing。例:go—going
(2)以不发音字母e结尾的词,去e再加-ing。例:come—coming
(3)以重读闭音节结尾且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词,先双写词尾的辅音字母,再加-ing。例:run—running
(4)以-ie结尾的动词,将ie变为y,再加-ing。例:lie—lying
