program
（1）〔动词〕编写程序
其动词-ing形式为programming，动词-ed形式为programmed。
例句：In this class, students will learn how to program.
这节课学生将学习编程。

（2）〔名词〕程序；节目；项目
作名词时，是可数名词。意为“节目；项目”时，相当于programme。
例句：Load the program into the computer. 把程序输入电脑。
例句：The program was about customs in different parts of the country.
这个节目介绍全国各地的风俗习惯。
（3）词形转换
·programming 〔名词〕 程序设计，不可数
·programmer 〔名词〕 程序设计员，可数
例句：Computer programming is a useful skill.
计算机编程是一项有用的技能。
例句：My brother wants to be a programmer in the future.
我哥哥将来想成为一名程序设计员。
2. To express feelings. 为了表达情感。
express
（1）〔动词〕表达；表示
·express onself 表达自己的情感/想法
·express...to sb 向某人表达……
例句： Words cannot express how pleased I am.
言语无法表达我的愉快心情。
例句： Teenagers often have difficulty expressing themselves.
十来岁的孩子在表达思想方面常常有困难。
（2）词形转换
·expression〔名词〕 表达方式；表示；表情
意为“表达方式；表情”时为可数名词，其前紧跟不定冠词时用an不用a。
例句：In English, people use many expressions with the word “dog”.
英语中有很多与狗有关的表达方式。
例句：Levin sat there, with an expression of sadness on his face.
莱文坐在那里，神情悲伤。
3. I decided to give it a go too! 我决定也去试一试！
（1）decide to do sth
decide后接动词不定式作宾语。
例句： We decided not to go away. 我们决定不离开。
（2）give it a go
该短语中的go是名词。give it a go相当于give it a try。
例句：I don’t know if he’ll listen to advice from me, but I’ll give it a go.
我不知道他是不是会听我劝，不过我会试试看。
4. What do you do in your free time 你在空闲时间做什么？
in one’s free time
意为“在某人的空闲时间”，这一短语中的time为不可数名词。
例句： People enjoy many different activities in their free time.
在空余时间，人们有许多休闲活动。
5. Fu Xing used to be scared of water...
付兴过去害怕水……
（1）used to do sth 过去（常常）做某事
例句： We used to go sailing on the lake in summer.
从前的夏天，我们经常泛舟湖上。
（2）scared〔形容词〕害怕的；对……感到惊慌的
·be scared of (=be afraid of) 害怕；恐惧
·scare〔动词〕 使害怕
·scary〔形容词〕 吓人的
例句：She is scared of going out alone. 她不敢一个人外出。
例句：They managed to scare the bears away. 他们设法把熊吓跑了。
例句：It was a really scary moment. 那一刻真是吓人。
6. What helped you to get over your fear
什么帮你克服了你的恐惧？
（1）get over 克服；解决
例句： How would they get over that problem
他们会怎么解决那个问题？
例句： She can’t get over her shyness.
她无法克服羞怯心理。
（2）fear
①〔名词〕害怕；担忧
既可作可数名词，又可作不可数名词。
·in fear 害怕；担忧
·(a) fear of... 害怕……
例句：She saw a snake and ran away in fear.
她看见一条蛇，吓得跑掉了。
例句：She had a fear of wide-open spaces.
身处开阔的空地中会使她感到害怕。
②〔动词〕害怕；担心
后接名词、代词、不定式、动词-ing形式作宾语。
例句：She feared to tell him the truth. 她不敢把真相告诉他。
例句：She no longer feared that they should misunderstand her.
她不再害怕他们会误解她了。
