Do you know the animal in the picture It’s a Chinese Douc Langur -- a colorful monkey. It has orange face and legs and it also has a long white tail.
The Douc Langurs live in the rainforest in Hainan China, and some south east Asian countires. In the happy old days, there are plenty of food to eat, such as leaves, fruit and insects. They enjoy peaceful and safe life! However, war broke out and people cut down rainforest to grow coffee. What’s more, people also hunted them to make medicine! As a result, people can’t see wild Douc Langur in China after 1882.
It is a pity that we can’t see such beautiful animals in the forest. The world is full of fantastic animals. So let’s take actions to protect them!
