特殊疑问句
特殊疑问句是以特殊疑问词开头的、对某一具体问题进行提问的问句。回答特殊疑问句不能用 yes 或 no。特殊疑问句读时一般用降调。本单元主要复习 what、where、why 引导的特殊疑问句。
1. Why 引导的特殊疑问句常对“原因”进行提问，一般用because 来回答
结构：Why＋助动词＋主语＋动词原形＋其他
because 与 so 不能同时出现在一句话中
—Why do you like the book 你为什么喜欢这本书
—Because it is interesting. 因为它有趣。
2. What 引导的特殊疑问句常对“姓名、物品、职业、事件等”进行提问。
3. Where 引导的特殊疑问句常对“地点”进行提问。

可数名词复数
英语中的名词按其所表示的事物的性质可分为可数名词和不可数名词。可数名词有单数和复数两种形式，其复数形式一般在词尾加“-s”或“-es”。
考向1 可数名词复数的用法
表示“两个”或“多个”的概念时，用可数名词的复数形式，可数名词复数作主语时，谓语动词常用复数形式。
Three girls are over there. 三个女孩在那儿。
Some boys are in the classroom. 一些男孩在教室里。

以 s、x、ch、sh 等结尾的词 词尾加-es box-boxes

该句型是特殊疑问句“Why do you... ”的否定式，用于询问不做某事的原因，多用 because 引导的句子来回答。
[拓展]
“Why don′t you... ”还可以表示向对方提出建议，相当于“Why not... ”。
其肯定回答为“Good idea!”“Great!”等，否定回答为“I′m afraid...”“Sorry，I···”等。

really [副词] 真正地；真实地；确实；的确
常用来修饰形容词或动词。
[拓展] really 也可以用于表示惊奇或含蓄的怀疑。

guess /ges/ [动词] 猜测；估计
guess 既可以作及物动词，又可以作不及物动词。
[拓展] guess 还可以作名词，意为“猜测；猜想”。
常见短语：
have/make a guess(at sth.) (对某事) 作出猜测

live [动词] 生存；居住；(以某种方式) 生活
live 的第三人称单数形式为 lives。
