1.Oh, in English names, the last name is the surname--like Smith or Brown. But in Chinese names, it's the total opposite! We put the surname first, then the given name. For example, if my name is Zhang Wei, Zhang is my family name, and Wei is my given name.
2.Well, Chinese parents pick names super carefully! They often choose characters with nice meanings, like ones for "smart" or "happy". Some also get ideas from ancient poems or nature things like flowers and mountains. And a lot of parents even check the traditional five elements stuff to make the name sound and feel good.
3.My name's Lin Yue. "Lin" is just my family name, and "Yue" means the moon. My parents said they named me this because they hope I'm as gentle and bright as the moon--pretty sweet, right
