What are the differences between them In what ways are they similar What theatres are mentioned in the video The Deheyuan Grand Theatre and the Globe Theatre.Differences: The Deheyuan Grand Theatre is a Chinese-style theatre built in the Qing Dynasty for the royal family, with Peking Opera as the main performance form. The theatre has three stages representing happiness, prosperity and longevity. Under the longevity stage, there is a well and five ponds.2. What are the differences between them In what ways are they similar The first Globe Theatre was built in London by a group of actors including William Shakespeare. It burnt down in 1613 and was rebuilt close to the site of the original building. The theatre has a round shape and the stage area has three main elements.Similarities: Both of the theatres have a long history. They are both specially designed for better stage effects.Beijing OperaBeijing OperaBeijing Opera is a kind of Chinese opera whicharose in the mid-19th century and was extremelypopular in the Qing Dynasty court. It is widelyregarded as one of the cultural treasures of China.Although it is called Peking Opera, its origins are in the Chinese provinces of Anhui and Hubei. Peking Opera’s two main melodies: xipi and erhuang originated from Anhui and Hubei operas. Much dialogue is also carried out in an archaic dialect originating partially from those regions.It is also absorbed music and arias from other operas and musical arts such as the historic Qingqiang as well as being very strongly influenced by Kunqu, the form that preceded it as court art. It is regareded that Peking Opera was born when the Four Great Anhui Troupes came to Beijing in 1790.Peking Opera was originally staged for the courtand came into the pulic later. In 1828, somefamous Hubei troupes came to Beijing. Theyoften jointly performed in the stage with Anhuitroupes. The combination gradually formedPeking Opera’s main melodies.Definition: Crosstalk is a comic dialogue, characterized by two actors, humorously talking back and forth; the contents of this performance always include jokes and funny dialogues to amuse the audience.CrosstalkTypes of cross talk:The general principle distinguishing different types of crosstalk is the number of performers involved.Monologue comic talk only involves one performer on the stage. Jokes and speeches are the main styles.Comic crosstalk engages two performers to communicate with each other. One is the comic who delivers the lines that make the audiences laugh while the other one plays a supportive role to carry on the dialogue.Group crosstalk refers to a performance with more than two people involved.
